An all girls race, capped at 1000 entrants, with all male volunteers in tuxedo t-shirts!! It was a chilly start at 52 degrees with a north wind about 5 mph and impending rain. Lots of ladies had cute costumes on. Pretty decent course through nearby subdivisions with more hills than I had anticipated.....gotta love those hills!! Every lady received a rose after crossing the finish line. Then out of my way..........on to the chocolate fountains with skewered fruit, strawberry tarts and key lime pie!!!! Only treated myself to half of a strawberry tart and half of the key lime pie.........shared the rest with my hubby. Also, water and gatorade were served in plastic champagne glasses. Such nice touches for all the ladies!! Finished at 31:23........not too bad considering since I seemed to strain both of my calf muscles earlier in the week. This completes my #6 run in the 13 in 2013 challenge.
